8 Planets
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
There are 8 planets in the Solar System and they all orbit the Sun
4.6 billion years ago was when this had all begun
There’s Neptune, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter
Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury, these are the planets
Neptune is the furthest from the sun
It’s dark, cold and the windiest one
4 times wider than Earth, whoa!
It’s an ice giant but there isn’t any snow
The 7th planet from the sun is Uranus
With 27 moons, isn’t that the insane-est?
Tilted, lilted, tipped on its side
Now are Neptune and Uranus demystified?
8 planets in the Solar System so many for us to explore
Come along sing this song with us and you’ll learn so much more
Let’s sing about Neptune, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter
Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury, these are the planets
Saturn is the 6th planet from the Sun
It’s massive in size but it doesn’t weigh a ton
because it’s mostly gas, so you’ll pass right though
Let’s dance on Saturn’s rings just me and you
Jupiter’s bigger than all the others combined
It’s also the planet where you will find
a storm that’s been raging for a few hundred years
That’s not my ideal atmosphere
8 planets in the Solar System and you’re about to know them all
We’ve sung about the bigger planets, now let’s sing about the small
The planets are Neptune, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter
Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury, these are the planets
The 4th planet from the Sun is Mars
It looks red up in the sky against all the stars
Half the size of Earth, it’s cold and dusty
And in the soil iron’s making it rusty
We live on planet Earth and it’s number 3
Made of 30% land, the rest of it is sea
We breathe the oxygen in our atmosphere
If we keep our planet clean the air will stay clear
Now one more verse for Earth ‘cause this is our home
A cautionary tale about the Ozone
So much pollution has trapped the Sun’s rays
Heating up the Earth like a microwave
8 planets in the Solar System all scattered across the sky
Get yourself a telescope and join the fun and see them with your own 2 eyes
There’s Neptune, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter
Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury, these are the planets
The hottest planet Venus enters the fray
Its slow rotation gives it the longest day
We call it Earth’s twin ‘cause it’s similar in size
And it’s the brightest in the sky to our naked eyes
Mercury is the closest to the Sun
It’s the smallest and fastest when all is said and done
It takes 88 days to complete a full orbit
Now those are all the planets I hope you’ve absorbed it
8 planets in the Solar System and they all orbit the Sun
4.6 billion years ago was when this had all begun

Fruits and Veggies
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K"
Fruits and veggies
Protect your health with fruits and veggies
If you want to feel good
Just like I knew you would
Fruits and veggies like
Apples and sweet potatoes
Pumpkins, green beans,
Blueberries and red tomatoes
Let’s start with some citrus fruits
Oranges, lemons, grapefruits and limes
Stone fruits have a pit at the core
Like apricots and cherries, peaches and so much more
Fruits and veggies
Protect your health with fruits and veggies
If you want to feel good
Just like I knew you would
Fruits and veggies like
Apples and sweet potatoes
Pumpkins, green beans,
Blueberries and red tomatoes
Now let’s name some leafy green vegetables
Spinach, lettuce, watercress and kale
Cruciferous veggies got that vitamin C
Like cauliflower, cabbage, bok choy and broccoli
Fruits and veggies
Protect your health with fruits and veggies
If you want to feel good
Just like I knew you would
Fruits and veggies like
Apples and sweet potatoes
Pumpkins, green beans,
Blueberries and red tomatoes
Snacking on berries is good for you
With antioxidants galore
Root veggies grow down in the ground
Like onions and potatoes or carrots bought by the pound
So many textures and flavors that taste so right
We’re gonna eat ‘em all day all night
Fruits and veggies
Eat ‘em all up your fruits and veggies
If you want to feel good
Just like I knew you would
Fruits and veggies like
Apples and sweet potatoes

My Kind of Doggy
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K"
That’s my kind of doggy
That’s my kind of doggy
That’s my kind of doggy
That’s my kind of doggy
Playful, curious and cheerful
Is a Bichon Frise, they’ll want to play with you all day
Charming, gentle and affectionate
Are the traits of a Maltese, they’ll put your mind at ease
That’s my kind of doggy
They’re short, white and fluffy
That’s my kind of doggy
They’re short, white and fluffy
Smart, courageous and confident
German Shepherds are the kind of dog you see in a police car
Friendly, patient and dependable
Are a Great Dane’s qualities, and they always aim to please
That’s my kind of doggy
They’re big and a toughie
That’s my kind of doggy
They’re big and a toughie
Independant, cute and spirited
A Scottish Terrier has a long snout and black fur
Active, humorous and fearless
An Affenpinscher’s face looks like a monkey’s any place
That’s my kind of doggy
They’re small, black and scruffy
That’s my kind of doggy
They’re small, black and scruffy
Labrador and Golden Retriever
Bulldog, Poodle, Miniature Pinscher
Greyhound, Dachshund, St. Bernard, Havanese
Corgi, Pug, Dobermann, Basenji
Mastiff, Husky, Chow Chow, Bull Terrier
Beagle, Otterhound, Frenchie, Harrier
Shih Tzu, Yorkie, Rottweiler, Schnauzer
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Major Cities of the World
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K"
Around the world, you see people living in harmony
With much diversity, in a place called a city
They go about their day doing things their own way in
Places where rooms are small and buildings are so tall
Half of the world’s population lives in them
Hustling and bustling from AM to PM
Cultures and languages are unique to each one
We’re gonna travel ‘round, come on now let’s have some fun!
Sing it with me as we learn about
Major Cities of the World
Scattered throughout the globe you will find
Major Cities of the World
Beijing, China
New York, USA
Cairo, Egypt
Tokyo, Japan
Mumbai, India
Sydney, Australia
London, England
São Paulo, Brazil
In Beijing, you must see The Great Wall and all its history
New York is quite the town, you can take the subway up or down
In Cairo, you will find some pyramids if you’re inclined
Then visit Tokyo and the cherry blossom festival
Mumbai is where they film Bollywood movies
Surfing the waters of Sydney sounds groovy
In London, you can hear Big Ben ringing loud and clear
São Paulo’s the largest city in the southern hemisphere
Sing it with me as we learn about
Major Cities of the World
Scattered throughout the globe you will find
Major Cities of the World
Moscow, Russia
Seoul, South Korea
Rome, Italy
Madrid, Spain
Lagos, Nigeria
Jakarta, Indonesia
Mexico City, Mexico
Istanbul, Turkey
Woo!
In Russia’s Moscow, see the Kremlin in all its glory
When you’re in Seoul, you can eat galbi and be a KPOP stan
In Rome, you must discover The Colosseum with your lover
Then, in Madrid, go out to Puerta del Sol and walk about
Lagos is booming on Africa’s west coast
You’ll love Jakarta’s great Istiqlal Mosque the most
Mexico City has foods like tacos al pastor
Go visit Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia, then explore
We all come from different places
But we’re all the same inside
This planet’s big enough for all of us
So let’s come together and help each other now
Sing it with me as we learn about
Major Cities of the World

Bugs!
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Bugs! They’re all around us
Some of them crawl and some of them fly
Bugs! They’re busy working every day and night
Spinning webs, digging tunnels, pollinating flowers, oo whoa
They’re not gonna hurt us
They just wanna live their lives like you and me
So don’t be afraid of them
They’re trying their best so let’s just let them be
Bugs! They’re all around us
Some of them crawl and some of them fly
Bugs! They’re busy working every day and night
Butterflies, ladybugs and crickets and mosquitoes, oo whoa
Caterpillars change bodies
They go through a metamorphosis, you see
Some other bugs, they make honey
It must be sweet to be a honey bee
Fireflies sparkle in the night
When it’s dark they give off that twinkly light
Grasshoppers can jump and fly
Their hind legs launch them into the air so high
Bugs! They’re all around us
Some of them crawl and some of them fly
Bugs! They’re busy working every day and night
Think of all the interesting bugs you see
Bumblebees, cockroaches and ants
Froghoppers, dragonflies and beetles, too
Thinking of how cool they are makes me want to dance
Bugs! They’re all around us
Some of them crawl and some of them fly
Bugs! They’re busy working every day and night
Bugs! They’re all around us

In the Ocean
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K"
Think about the ocean
It covers most of our planet
And all the creatures that live in its waters so deep
Sharks and whales and sea lions, too
So much beauty in waters so blue
Underneath the waves they swim through the sea
In the ocean, the dolphins dive
The marlins and otters and starfish all thrive
It’s so great to see the sea creatures living wild and free
In the ocean
Lobsters are a type of crustacean
And sponges eat through filtration
Stingrays and sawfish and skates are all cartilaginous fish
Octopuses and squid change their shape
They fit into tight spaces to hide or escape
Oysters, clams and mussels are mollusks, you see
In the ocean, the manta rays glide
The turtles and hermit crabs roll with the tide
It’s so great to see the sea creatures living wild and free
In the ocean
It’s so amazing what lingers below
Blue whales and flounders and fishes that glow
Most of the ocean is undiscovered and unexplored
We have so much to learn, when I’m on land I yearn for
The ocean, so vast and so wide
Just get on a boat, let the waves be your guide
It’s so great to see the sea creatures living wild and free
In the ocean, right where they belong
They’ve lived there for centuries all along
It’s so great to see the sea creatures living wild and free
In the ocean, in the ocean

Things That Go
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
We’re gonna sing a song about things that go
Sing along!
Things that go, these are things that go
Cars and trains and planes and boats
You can take a ride, we’ll be right by your side
As we sing about things that go
The mail truck delivers our mail to us
The tractor is used on a farm
The tow truck moves disabled cars
And the fire engine keeps people safe from harm
The bullet train goes super fast
The subway goes underground
The taxi cab will pick you up on the street
And the airplane’s propellers spin ‘round and ‘round
Things that go, these are things that go
Cars and trains and planes and boats
You can take a ride, we’ll be right by your side
As we sing about things that go
The jet flies smoothly up in the sky
The helicopter hovers above
The sailboat moves with just the wind
And the cement mixer’s a truck that I know you love
The cruise ship can carry a lot of folks
While the kayak holds usually one
The rocket ship goes into outer space
And riding a bicycle is so much fun
Things that go, these are things that go
Cars and trains and planes and boats
You can take a ride, we’ll be right by your side
As we sing about things that go
The school bus drives kids off to school
The garbage truck gets rid of our trash
The crane lifts heavy things up in the air
And the jet ski on the water makes quite a splash
The freight train carries cargo across the rails
The tractor trailer drives on the highway
The fishing boat’s where you’ll find Grandpa Mike
And the car is something that you see every day
Things that go, these are things that go
Cars and trains and planes and boats
You can take a ride, we’ll be right by your side

Witches
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
You might think they ride on brooms
Wearing silly black hats with capes and boots
Pointy noses and sickly green skin
With tangled hair that’s long and thin
But real witches dress in ordinary clothes
Have ordinary jobs, live in ordinary homes
Feet with square ends, they’ve no toes at all
And witches wear wigs, ‘cause their heads are bald
They have a sizzling, burning hatred of children
Murderous, bloodthirsty thoughts
Which child will they choose for their next squelching?
Witches of the world, come together
Tonight is your night, gonna give a fright
Tread softly, move quietly, let’s take over the night
Give every child reason to fear
‘Cause we’re gonna make ‘em all disappear!
Tread softly, move quietly
A witch never gets caught
Is it an ordinary woman, or a witch?
These children, oh, they’re so repulsive!
Every one of them smells like dogs’ droppings
They cry and snivel and yell and whine
Can’t ever keep them in line
They make me go insane!
Hush now, it’s the Grand High Witch!
She’s always plotting, scheming
She wants to hear them screaming
She has come to teach us how to exterminate these kids!
Witches, these children have
Plagued this world since the beginning of time
Join me, my sisters, let’s finish the job
A world without children would be so sublime!
Witches of the world, come together
Tonight is your night, gonna give a fright
Tread softly, move quietly, let’s take over the night
Give every child reason to fear
‘Cause we’re gonna make ‘em all disappear!
These children smell terrible
Witches, let’s go!

Hermit Crab Conga
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Listen very close and I will teach you
About a phenomenon at the beach
Do you know the creature that carries its home on its back?
A hermit crab
For you, a home is a house, but for a crab, it’s a shell
And it’s, oh, so important to wear it well
‘Cause their shell protects them from predators and the hot sun
Step right up
Get in line
Big to small
You’re doing fine
Hermit crabs, when you’ve grown too big for your shell
Take it off, do this dance and then
Tell the crab behind you the shell is theirs now
And that they’re looking swell
Hermit crabs, do the hermit crab conga
Sing along as we sing-a this song-a
Upgrade your shell and you'll be strong-a
And do the hermit crab conga
Come on all you hermit crabs, get in line
Soon it will be time for the shell exchange
You don’t wanna miss this chance to upgrade
You’re growing every day now your home is tight
Come down to the beach we’re gonna dance the night away
We gotta organize, line up yourselves by size
Step right up
Get in line
Big to small
You’re doing fine
Hermit crabs, when you’ve grown too big for your shell

This is a hermit crab nation
All my crabs let’s get in formation
For the shell exchange sensation

About a phenomenon at the beach
Do you know the creature that carries its home on its back?
A hermit crab

Chocolate Chip Cookie
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
This is how you make a chocolate chip cookie
We’re gonna bake an ooey gooey treat
Yum so yummy I’m lovin’ this cookie
The perfect combination of savory and sweet
Now, let’s gather our ingredients
Here is what we’ll need
Two and a quarter cups of flour
Half a teaspoon of table salt
One teaspoon of baking soda
And one cup of softened butter
Three quarter cups of granulated sugar
Three quarter cups of brown sugar
One large egg and a teaspoon of vanilla
And two cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
This is how you make a chocolate chip cookie
We’re gonna bake an ooey gooey treat
Yum so yummy I’m lovin’ this cookie
The perfect combination of savory and sweet
Now, let’s put it all together
Here’s how to proceed
Set your oven to three seventy-five
Make sure that temperature is in Fahrenheit
Mix the flour, salt and baking soda
Together in a bowl and set it aside
In a larger bowl, beat the softened butter
And both of the sugars with a mixer
Beat in the egg and the extract of vanilla
Until it looks smooth, oh so smooth
This is how you make a chocolate chip cookie
We’re gonna bake an ooey gooey treat
Yum so yummy I’m lovin’ this cookie
The perfect combination of savory and sweet
Now, it’s time to do the final steps
Follow them and you’ll succeed
Stir in the flour mixture ‘til it’s blended
Stir in the chocolate chips, oh so splendid
Place the rounded dough balls on a cookie sheet
Then bake for nine minutes, they’re gonna feel the heat
Let them cool for two minutes before we attack
Transfer them onto a cooling rack
They’re gonna taste sweet I guarantee
Now look at what we’ve made: a chocolate chip cookie!

Hot Air Balloon
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Let’s go for a ride in a hot air balloon
The skies are clear and the winds are calm
And the sun is shining bright
I always wanted to be so high up in the sky
So let’s go for a ride in a hot air balloon
We’ll get some friends together and go to the field
Where we’ll see the huge balloon flat on the ground
We’ll use a giant fan to fill it up with air
And soon it will be big and round
Let’s go for a ride in a hot air balloon
The skies are clear and the winds are calm
And the sun is shining bright
I always wanted to be so high up in the sky
So let’s go for a ride in a hot air balloon
Turn on the fire once the balloon starts to inflate
The hot air is what causes it to rise
Hop in the basket, there’s room for everyone
Get in quick, we’re taking to the skies
Everything looks so small down there
All the way up here in the air
Turn around look over your shoulder
You can see the next town over
Rivers, mountains, acres of trees
Birds flying by riding the breeze
All around there’s so much to see
Let’s go for a ride in a hot air balloon

Frank and I
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Meet my friend, Frank Dinosaur
Not your average carnivore
Giant reptile looking for
Something good to eat
Took him to the corner store
Barely fit him through the door
Bought some guac, chips, cheese and more
We’re gonna make some nachos
Then the guy at the checkout line
Sort of laughed at our groceries
And he said,
“Wow, that’s a lot of cheese”
Frank and I are gonna make nachos on a Saturday night
Time just passes by as we gobble down the nachos loving every bite
I like making nachos too
I’m glad we found something fun to do on a Saturday night
Just Frank and I
Frank said, “I’m not feeling well
My belly’s like a carousel
It’s churning, bloating
I can tell I gotta use the bathroom”
I said, “Sure, Frank, go ahead”
Took my phone out and I read,
“If A Dinosaur Is Your Friend,
Make Sure They Don’t Eat Dairy”
Then I thought to myself, “Oh no,
I think I’ve made a mistake
My dear Frank,
I’m sorry for giving you a tummy ache”
Frank and I, we ate too many nachos this Saturday night
Now Frank wants to cry ‘cause his belly’s feeling awful and really not right
The guy at the store kind of gave a hint, that dinosaurs are lactose intolerant
Now we’re paying the price
Just Frank and -
I was looking forward to a night with my bud and our favorite food
But the guilt that I’ll carry when I have to tell Frank that he can’t have dairy
Frank and I will not be eating nachos on Saturday night
We’ll just french some fries or prepare a veggie platter or drink some Sprite
Frank’s feeling better now, but he wants more nachos and I don’t know how to tell him
Absolutely not!
Let’s just bake a pie…
With a vegan crust
And some fresh blueberries
And definitely not whipped cream
It’s gonna taste great
And your belly will not be mad at you
Then we can start a vegan baking TikTok channel and call it

Dust Bunny
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Dad is making me clean
My room on this Saturday morning
I can’t think of anything worse
Cleaning is senseless and boring
I’d rather stick a carrot in my eye
Or watch a potato petrify
But then I look under the bed
And something’s rearing its head
And then a little creature says
I’m the Dust Bunny
You’re never gonna catch me
You can get out the vacuum
But I’m not leaving this room
I don’t understand
Why everyone’s trying to put me in a dustpan
I am wild and free
And I’m the Dust Bunny
I have found a new pet
I love my dust bunny and we just met
I wanna take him to school
And show him to my friends, that would be so cool
Wanna take him on an airplane
Travel to Morocco
Dance in the rain
Cruise to Turks and Caicos
Build ourselves a lake house
Do the mashed potato on a jet ski
I’m the Dust Bunny
And you may think it’s funny
That I don’t have a backbone
And my DNA is unknown
Keep the window shut
You never know when there might be a wind gust
I’m not keen on breeze
‘Cause I’m the Dust Bunny
Get me out of this house I’m cooped
I’m about to burst I’m ready to scream and shout
Yeah it feels like I’m going insane
I’ve been stuck inside doing Dad’s chores every day
We could spend the morning tidying up and straightening up the house
But two best friends together with time to spare stuck cleaning is just not fair
You won’t see us cleaning the house
Gotta get out
Follow the dust bunny
He will lead the way
We’re gonna play all day
There will be no cleaning today
D-U-S-T B-U double N-Y
Me and Dust Bunny
Best buds, it’s just right
A dusty celebration for you and me
Oh yeah!

I'm a Bean
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Comin’ up out of the ground
I’m on the tallest sprout around
Climbin’ toward the sun
Soakin’ in the April showers
Hey there, have you seen my flowers?
My life has only just begun
I’ve been through germination
Thanks to my determination
Fell from my plant, then I hit the ground
Here’s where my journey begins
I’ve packed up all my nutrients
Get ready to hear my sound
I’m a bean
And there’s soy much that I haven’t seen
Words cannot espresso much
This world ain’t ready for me
I’m a mung the very best
I’m lean and green and packed with protein
I’m a bean
Everyone expects me to
Fit in a can, but there are few
In which I feel I belong
A pea in a pod among my brothers
But I know that I’m not like the others
I gotta sing my song
They say, “Be just another lima dozen”
Ha! Are you kidney?!
I may be green, but I know my worth and you’ll see
Not gonna sit around
And wait for the sun to dry me out
I know my destiny is calling me
I’m a bean
And I’m breaking out of my routine
I was never meant to be a cog in a machine
I’m going fava than I ever dreamed
I’m gonna do you proud, it’s time to live out loud
I’ve never seen a bean on my TV screen
Think of all the little beans I could inspire
Maybe one day they could all feel seen
And we’ll keep liftin’ one another higher and higher
There’s got to be a first and I can break the mold
Beans shouldn’t have to be just what they’re told
Now I know I have a dream
But it’s more than just for me
I’m a bean
But not like any bean you’ve seen
I’ve got so much to show the world
And I’m bursting at the seams
There’s no legume who can outshine me
Ask me why, I’ll answer with pride
I’ll see my vision come alive
Edamam’a will provide
I’m a bean
(He’s a bean, a very cute, good bean
Best bean you’ve ever seen
He’s green and packed with protein
He’s our bean
He’s breaking out of his routine
Gonna see him on your TV screen)

WHAT'S IN THE FRIDGE?
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
What’s in the fridge? What’s in the fridge?
What’s in the fridge? What is in our fridge?
The big box that keeps things cold, It’s a wonder to behold
Put that in the refrigerator, so we can eat it later
Oat milk, eggs, shredded cheese
Soy sauce, grapes, ketchup that you squeeze
Celery, mushrooms, sour cream
Broccoli, leeks and dumplings that you steam
What’s in the fridge? What’s in the fridge?
What’s in the fridge? What is in our fridge?
The big box that keeps things cold, It’s a wonder to behold

Carrots, beans and hickory smoked ham

What’s in the fridge? What is in our fridge?
The big box that keeps things cold, It’s a wonder to behold
Put that in the refrigerator, so we can eat it later
But what about the freezer? There’s so much more in there
Popsicles and ice packs and pizza that we can share
Flash frozen salmon, an overripe banana
Hey! We can make banana bread and eat it while I play the piano

Captain Kate
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K"
There once was a girl named Kate
Who grew up near the Golden Gate
She dreamed of living life on the sea
Courage was what she possessed
Her parents proudly could attest
Then they asked her, “What do you want to be?”
I want to be Captain and sail the ocean blue
To the ends of the Earth, just me and my crew
At the helm is where I’ll be
I belong there, wait and you’ll see
I’ve got the world to navigate
I’ll be Captain Kate
I’ll be Captain Kate
She put in the work year after year
She wanted this and that was clear
A ship of her own, the first in command
Maritime school was the hardest part
But she was strong and she was smart
And she got through just like she had planned
I want to be Captain I’ll be the very best
If I can dream it, I can manifest it
On the bridge all dressed in white
Sailing by the glow of moonlight
I’ve got the world to navigate
I’ll be Captain Kate
I’ll be Captain Kate
It takes time to learn the ropes
But I’ve put in the work and paid my dues
I will never give up hope
Until I set sail on that first cruise as captain
Now everyone looks to me
To carry them safely across the sea
I’m in charge
And I will steer this vessel straight
There’s no need to fear
We’ve got the world to navigate
Call me Captain Kate
Call me Captain Kate
Call me Captain Kate

Bird Song
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Birds are our feathered friends
All around the world there are so many kinds
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Come along on our birding tour, there’s so many birds for us to explore
Backyard birds keep gardens free of pests
They eat bugs and seeds and sing songs and build nests
Robins and Hummingbirds
Sparrows, Finches, and Warblers
Blackbirds and Jays fly around all day
Birds of Prey are known for their keen eyesight
Circling high in the sky and when they’re ready, they dive
Owls, Kites, Shrikes and Falcons so regal
Vultures, Hawks and Bald and Golden Eagles
Birds are our feathered friends
All around the world there are so many kinds
What types of birds will we see next?
Come along on our birding tour, there’s so many birds for us to explore!
Aquatic birds make their homes near the water
They hunt for fish and webbed feet help them swim faster
Seagulls and Pelicans
Storks, Cranes and Penguins
Puffins and Spoonbills, Flamingos and Loons
In tropical forests, you’ll find birds of many hues
Spectacular crests and colorful plumes
Toucans and Hornbills and Macaws so wise
Parakeets and Lovebirds ignite the skies
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like
To fly away like a bird taking flight
To soar above the trees
And feel weightless and free
Birds are our feathered friends
All around the world there are so many kinds
Look at all the ways that they impress

The Desert and Me
By Dave Klodowski "Davey K" and Peter Yang
Hey world, what a beautiful morning
Can’t get me down even with a sandstorm warning
Among these dunes is where I’ll thrive
And the warm sun makes me feel alive
Hey world, this little cactus is ready for anything
And it’s just me, waiting for life to begin
So small and green, with a big old grin and
Oh, got my roots laid down
Oh, look at what’s around
Oh, sand as far as the eye can see
Just the desert and me
Hey world, still here, still green
Sticking out like a sore thumb on this flat terrain
These lanky, long arms out on display
While my prickly spines get in the way
Hey world, will I be stuck here forever more?
And it’s just me, stuck here from morning ‘til night
Soaking in the Vitamin D, but I’m not feeling the light
Oh, got my roots laid down
Oh, look at what’s around
Oh, sand as far as the eye can see
Just the desert and me
Hey world, step into my oasis
This spot in the desert is my most favorite of places
At night, I see the stars aglow
And the desert rains helps my flowers grow
And there’s a little bird who made a home in me
And I love to dance in the gentle breeze
Hey world, can’t you see that
Oh, got my roots laid down
Oh, there’s magic flowing all around
Oh, beauty as far as the eye can see
Just the desert and me
